Boeotia (Greek: Βοιωτία; - Voiotía, also Viotía) is one of the prefectures of Greece. It is within the Central Greece periphery, and its area was known in ancient times.
Boeotia (bēō`shə), region of ancient Greece. It lay N of Attica, Megaris, and the Gulf of Corinth. The early inhabitants were from Thessaly.
