This group of 15 islands is spread over 900 miles in the South Pacific Ocean, and it has a total land area of 90 square miles. Wildlife is limited to lizards and birds, but coconut palms flourish throughout the islands. The average temperature on Rarotonga, the largest of the Cook Islands, is 75°F.

This Central American republic has coasts along the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. The average temperature in the low-lying coastal areas is 80°F, and the humidity is high. Wildlife in Honduras includes bears, deer, monkeys, coyotes, wolves, jaguars, and many reptiles and birds.

3. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands
Comprising approximately 16 coral and volcanic islands, this island group covers an area of 176 square miles in the Pacific Ocean, east of the Philippines and south of Japan. The economy is based on tourism, agriculture, and light manufacturing.

The climate of this western Pacific Ocean island archipelago is tropical and humid. The average high temperature is 81.5°F year-round. Although marine life is abundant, there are few land animals.

5. Tonga
Tonga consists of more than 150 islands spread over approximately 140,000 square miles of the southern Pacific Ocean. The climate of this independent island nation is tropical, with high humidity and an average daily temperature range of 61° to 84°F. Watch out for the flying foxes!
Port-Vila, Vanuatu

6. Vanuatu
Vanuatu is an independent republic of more than 80 islands in the southwestern Pacific Ocean. Average daily temperatures in this tropical, humid climate are 72° to 81°F. Land animals on the islands include small reptiles, bats, and rats, as well as many birds.
